Sikorsky's S-70i International Black Hawk helicopter has been flown forthe first time in Poland, where the aircraft is being assembled by thecompany's PZL Mielec subsidiary.
Flown on 14 November, the aircraft is the second International BlackHawk to have undergone final assembly in Mielec. The first was shippedto the USA and performed its debut sortie from West Palm Beach, Floridaon 1 July, and is having unspecified mission equipment installed.

The programme's next two aircraft are now in final assembly in Poland,with a fifth to enter production in December and deliveries to startnext year, says Sikorsky Military Systems. Launch operator for the typewill be Saudi Arabia's ministry of internal affairs.
"The S-70i Black Hawk programme has been executed seamlessly," saysRobert Mastronardi, the US company's S-70i senior programme manager.
